The meaning of Hiwasse
(pronounced “hi – WAH – see”)
“Hiwasse is a Native American Cherokee word, meaning pleasant place or sunny spot. We chose that name upon starting business in 1947, when our products included lawn furniture and later, caskets! Our business has dramatically evolved, but the name has endured.”
